Description
The position is to be responsible, under the direction of the Resident Manager, for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance of the property. This position is a working, hands-on, maintenance supervisory position.
Qualifications
*Experience with painting, appliance, electrical, general maintenance and plumbing repairs
*Familiar with scheduled maintenance on all types of equipment typically found at apartment properties
*Experience with supervising a team
*Responsible for undertaking the hands-on refurbishing of apartments prior to resident occupancy
*Conduct apartment check-in and check-out inspections
*Assist with custodial and grounds work, as required necessary
*Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, annual inspections, inventories, and purchase orders
*Knowledge of water and gas cut-off valves, sewer clean-out, and fixture cut-offs
*Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects in order to maximize customer satisfaction and resident retention
*High degree of flexibility
*Clean driving record, acceptable credit, must clear background check
*Must be willing to live on-site (negotiable)
*Compliant with all state, federal, and/or all laws relating to Fair Housing

Education
*High School Diploma or higher
*CPO and HVAC certifications a plus or willing to acquire those certifications
